LATEX@dd: Documentation
All the manuals are available in PostScript and Acrobat PDF format. If you want to read the PDF files, just click on them. To be able to read the PS files directly you have to follow the instructions below.

If you have trouble reading the PS documents in Netscape, choose Edit->Preferences in the menus, press the little arrow in front of Navigator so that it points downwards, choose Applications and find Postscript Document. Click on Postscript Document and then on Edit.... Click on the box in front of Application and write gv %s in the box and it will hopefully work.

Most of the documents are available on paper in the locker in the room where the macs used to be.

Contains a short description of most of the commands in LATEX. Good reference.

Math symbols and examples put together by Dr. Einar Steingrímsson, math department. (In Swedish.)
The Not So Short Introduction to [PDF][PS]
It's actually a pretty short and good introduction.
Essential LaTeX++ [PDF][PS]
A short (25 pages) introduction.
LaTeX [PDF][PS]
A good reference which describes the most important commands.
The caption package [PDF][PS]
Contains instructions on how to make nicer figure and table texts.
The enumerate package [PDF][PS]
Contains instructions on how to make more flexible enumerated lists.
Page layout in LaTeX [PDF][PS]
Contains instructions on how to make some nicer page headers and footers.
The PSfrag system [PDF][PS]
Describes how to exchange text in PostScript figures for LATEX text. Very useful when you include MATLAB figures.
Using EPS Graphics in LaTeX2e Documents [PDF][PS]
Tells you all about including PostScript figures in your document.
The FoilTEX class package [PDF][PS]
Teaches you how to make nice overheads.
Packages in the `graphics' bundle [PDF][PS]
Describes, among other things, how to use colors in your documents and how you can rotate and scale text. For the latter you could also use the package textfit.
BIBTEXing [PDF][PS]
Explains how to use BIBTEX, which is very useful if you have a lot of references.
User's Guide to AMSFonts Version 2.2 [PDF][PS]
Contains instructions on the fonts which are recommended by the American Mathematical Society.
AMS-LaTeX version 1.2 User's Guide [PDF][PS]
Describes how to use amstex.
